• What happens if the sea is a little rough for fishing out of Kere?

    You can try fishing in the water or our sailors will find some sheltered spots.

  • Which vaccinations are compulsory?

    Yellow fever is compulsory. Typhoid is optional. Malaria treatment is recommended.

  • How long does the journey take?

    About 1 hour by car from the airport to the port of embarkation and about 1 hour and 45 minutes by boat.

  • Are there other hotels or places to eat if you don't want full board?

    No. Kéré is an islet of 1 hectare and 700 meters where there is only our lodge. And the nearest lodge or restaurant is on the island of Angurman, 1.5 hours away by boat.

  • Should I bring cash or is there an ATM on the island?

    There is no ATM on the island. Payments must be made in cash (euros or cfa francs)

  • Are there other people on the island?

    No, only the lodge staff and guests circulate on the island.

  • Are drinks from the bar included in the full board?

    No, all drinks, with the exception of filtered water, are paid for separately.

  • Is there hot water in the rooms?

    The vast majority of rooms have hot water, heated by a solar panel system.

  • Is there wifi in the rooms?

    The only wifi zone is in the bar/restaurant. We recommend that you take advantage of this to disconnect from the western world

  • Do all the rooms have a private bathroom?

    Yes.

  • Do all beds have mosquito nets?

    Yes.

  • Is there air conditioning in the rooms?

    No, there are fans.

  • Are there several menu options in the restaurant?

    In order to avoid waste, our menu is made daily based on the number of guests and often with fresh fish. The menu consists of a starter, main course, salad and dessert.

  • What if I have a specific diet?

    Please let us know at the time of booking so that we can adapt our menus to your needs.

  • Can I rent fishing equipment at your Logde or do I have to bring my own?

    We have several options of fishing equipment for hire. Our boutique is available so that no fisherman is left without equipment.

  • Am I guaranteed to see the turtles nesting?

    Yes. The island of Poilão is one of the most important spots in the world for green turtle nesting. Between July and November, every night during high tide, hundreds of turtles come to lay their eggs on the beach, and thousands hatch each night in the direction of the sea.

  • Are the tours always done with Kéré guides?

    Not necessarily. The parks have their own guides and it may not be necessary to be accompanied by a Kéré guide.

  • What temperatures can I expect?

    The temperature never varies much, it's between 30 and 32°. What does vary a lot is the level of humidity and atmospheric pressure. Between September and November it can be 90%.
